First UK Couple to Wed Post Covid-19 Lockdown
The first couple to marry in the UK after lockdown restrictions are lifted.
I have had the pleasure of working with this lovely couple to preserve Jessica’s Bridal Bouquet.
After having their wedding rearranged three times, their special day finally happened with an audience from the BBC News and newspaper journalists, all wanting to capture one of the first Weddings happening in the UK after Covid restrictions were lifted.Â
Jessica has kindly agreed to help me with my blog by sharing her personal experience with a lockdown Wedding. Giving all you lovely couples, who are looking into preserving your Wedding Bouquets a closer insight into her process of finding the perfect flower preservation specialist, and I am honoured that she felt Sals Forever Flowers were the best specialist for the job.Â
Jessica and Jonny first met on a cruise back in 2014, and in August 2018 Jonny romantically popped the question to Jessica on a cruise ship. At this time they had no idea what was about to happen and that their wedding will be effected by Covid-19.
After having their Wedding cancelled three time Jessica and Jonny decided to tie the knot in March this year. They had an intimate Wedding following Government Guidelines by only having 6 guests.Â
Jessica and Jonny had a bumpy ride to get to their special day as they had to rearrange, swap and change suppliers several times.Â
Jessica had originally decided she would have an artificial Wedding Bouquet but unfortunately her florist had to cancel leaving Jessica devastated as a Bride without her flowers. She quickly got herself together and frantically looked for another florist. Jessica found a great local florist who produced a beautiful fresh Bridal Bouquet. Jessica had one special request for her Bouquet and that was to add her traditional welsh flower, the daffodil.Â

How did you come to hear about Sals Forever Flowers?
I was searching online and I found your website. I absolutely loved the products that you make.Â
When you booked your florist did you already know you wanted to have your Wedding Bouquet preserved?
No, as I originally booked artificial flowers but the lady let us down and decided to cancel our order. That lead me to finding a new florist who made my Bouquet using fresh flowers.Â
So what gave you the idea of having your Wedding Bouquet preserved?
Once I knew I was having fresh flowers I just knew I had to have them preserved. They are so special and I wanted to be able to keep them forever, this is why I was originally planning on an artificial Bridal Bouquet.Â
What made you choose Sals Forever Flowers to have your Wedding Bouquet preserved?
I had a look at your products which all look to a high quality and standard. I had a look through your reviews which are all great and noticed you have won some awards and this is what helped me make my decision.Â
What made you choose the products you have chosen to have your Bridal Bouquet preserved?
I love candles so it made sense for me to have something to hold my candles in. This will take pride of place in my living room so it can be admired everyday.Â
When I saw the handbag I just thought wow and knew I needed one. No one else will have that same bag as it is made with my wedding Bouquet.Â
The charms, cufflinks, earrings and necklace all make great thank you gifts for our family. They will be travelling around the world so being packaged quite small these were ideal.Â
Do you have any advice for couples wanting to have their Wedding Flowers preserved?
Do it!! If you don’t you will regret it. So much time and effort goes into choosing your flowers so why not enjoy them forever Â
How is Married Life treating you?
Married life is no different to when we were in lockdown.
Do you have a honeymoon booked?
We cant wait to go away for our minimoon in May and then our Honeymoon in 2022. We are planning to go to Australia and New Zealand. We did originally book a trip to Japan then a cruise around Alaska, I cried more when that was cancelled than the first Wedding! I always wanted a small Wedding but Jonny wanted a big Wedding. Were now having best of both worlds.Â
